CZ 352 touched down at the Guangzhou Bai Yun International Airport at 12:15pm. It was a refreshing sight. The renovated Guangzhou Bai Yun International Airport is a manifestation of China's rapid progress in the last decade.
The four of us (the teachers of coz....pls refer to the picture at the profile if unsure... :p) decided that it was a golden opportunity to introduce PETALS & National Education to create an authentic learning experience for the kids.
Having departed from Singapore's Changi Airport in the morning( & esp when Singapore once prided herself as world's No 1 Airport) , landing at the new & well-facilitated Guangzhou Bai Yun International Airport, the kids were tasked to explore the airport and identify the differences between these 2 airports. We hope to guide them towards having a better understanding of Singapore's vulnerabilities in the competitive international arena.
We know that it would be difficult to make them the perfect citizen overnight... but we sincerely wish that in their young, inquisitive minds, they will register at least a tinge of worry and fear, no matter how hazy it may be, for our country.
